I bought this case to house my Canon XH-A1S and a Rode Video Mic (since that is too big/awkward for my 27 dollar vidpro bag with the dividers i have in there). I checked a certain major auction site (really, why does amazon ban their name now in reviews? feeling threatened perhaps? silly) and by far "Video Camera Center" had the best price at 50 bucks. they charge 20 shipping but you get your money's worth there. they stick it in a really big box to help protect it and i know it had to at least cost the full 20 for that.
two big pieces of foam and one really thin one. i couldn't get the cam to fit with the hood on (though it would have if i'd have been willing to cut a little into the lower thick foam layer which i wasn't) so i put the hood in separately but that stays nice without even having to cut into any layer of foam. took the foam out, outlined my items with a sharpie, and cut. (always use something with a serrated edge to cut, you saw, u don't slice. take your time. for me a cheap steak knife worked great though there are better things to use). i wasn't sure what to do with the super thin layer of foam so i just stuck it in between the thick foam pads (one cut, one not) for a tiny bit of added protection.
it seems sturdy enough to survive air travel, however locking it would be a must. not for security, as these would be easy to bust open i'd imagine. more because the locks are easy to flip open. you can use your pinky flipping it backwards (not curling it toward you which is your pinky's strength), they're that easy to pop open so i'd imagine a knock or two would do it as well and oh what a nightmare that'd be on some airport tarmac in Tuscaloosa all because some baggage handler was in a hurry to make happy hour.
the wheel system is nice with a few caveats: one, they don't make it to stand up to abuse cosmetic wise, so if you lay your case down on it's side (in the position to open it in) the plastic will get noticeably scratched the first time. i can only imagine what it'd look like after the 50th time. also, there is a little button at the top of the handle to push it back down after you're done wheeling it around, but that button is useless because even when you fully extend the handle and hear it "lock" into place, you can still push it down without the aid of the "release button."
it comes with 5 dividers reinforced with hard foam (which i didn't use but tried them out and they looked great and were sturdy). 2 are 5 5/8 inches, 2 are 14 1/2 inches (perfect fit for width of case. (top to bottom when laid flat)), and 1 is 10 1/2 inches.
if you abuse this, the sides of the case will likely look haggard before too long, but for the money i am very pleased i don't mind. while it doesn't look like those ATA flight cases or canon stainless steel cases, and won't make u say it's "built like a tank," it will protect your camera for little money and that's all i want for now.
great value, very pleased with this purchase

Really great case
I bought this case to store my telescope eyepieces which are very expensive and very susceptible to "bumping around". It is a little bigger than I envisioned, but (as it turns out) just the right size for all my "stuff". It seems to be made well. The "cubes" remove and "form-fit" quite well, and the rollers (which I thought would just be in the way) actually keep the case off the ground when I take my scope out for public viewings. All in all, this is a nice case for the money. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their valuable things protected against the invariable disasters that always seem to happen sooner or later.

nice case for a nice price
I was able to customize the inside cushioning to fit my camera and accessories. I did a bit of planning before cutting on the foam and got a lot of spaces for the accessories.
